Today we are showing off my bff Beth Silaika‘s set Fleur de Lis and my newest Diva, Golf Diva!  This is a loooong post..Lots to share… so let’s get to it!

First up is Fabby Fleur de Lis!!

Here is the card I showed at the Release Party!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI love this card stamped in GKD In the Navy.   I randomly stamped that pretty fleur de lis onto GKD heavy base white card stock by eye and they appear to line up pretty nicely.  I’m not sure I could do that again (without careful precision) if I tried!  I stamped the thank you sentiment from the set onto a shape I had cut out with my silhouette (it’s one of my favorite label shapes and I use it a lot!) and popped it up on dimensionals.  That’s it…easy peasy lemon squeezy.

My next fab fleur de lis is a 4 x 4 card using GKD kraft base and vellum!

I stamped the fleur de lis in GKD ivory and then stamped the word ‘friend’ from the set in GKD black onyx.  I scored the sides at *i think* a 1/4 inch and then added a snippet of GKD black onyx gingham.  I think it looks pretty cute!  And it can be easily mass produced!

Now it’s time for Golf Diva!!

Here is the card I showed at the Release Party!  I am so happy that Golf Diva is a clear set!  The base is GKD kraft layered with GKD layering weight white.  I stamped the argyle image repeatedly across the white panel (it’s super easy to line up) and then used the diamond shape in the set to fill it in with GKD grass green and ocean mist ink.  VERY EASY to pull this off…I promise!  I then stamped miss Diva onto her silhouette cut file shape (pssst, it’s Free!), paper pieced her skirt and colored her with copics.  The sun was made by curving the straight line in the set (meant for the flag pole) and stamping the flag ‘V’.  Again, easy to line up.  I colored the sun in with copics.  I was so excited about the grass on this card.  I took a strip of GKD grass green card stock, measured it to the height I wanted, cut it to size and then started cutting random snips into it until I got the look I was going for.    I stamped the golf ball and sentiment in GKD black onyx.  {My favorite sentiment in this set is this one..May the Course be with you!}

For my next card I wanted to show you that you don’t have to use the diva in this set to make a cute card….

This is approximately 4×4 with a kraft base (although you can’t see it).  I measured a 4×4 square of GKD white card stock to cover the kraft and then some random dp I had lying around (not sure of the name of it at the moment..sorry!).  I had vellum lying on my desk so I added a square and then borrowed some of the Mr.’s golf tees (mine are green and didn’t work..his are nice and white!).  I scored a strip of paper to make a boxy shape over the tees (which are glued down with mini pop dots) and stamped the sentiment ‘Just fore you’ and some golf balls in GKD black onyx on GKD white card stock.  Distressed it a bit and glued it down.  Added some cute bakers twine to finish it off! (And just like that it went from a guy-ish card to a girlish one!).

And speaking of girlish cards…

Last but not least is a card I made by cutting clouds out of GKD layering weight white (the clouds are from my rainy day diva cut file that I re-sized!).  Using the negative, I adhered vellum (can’t get away from the vellum!) to the backside of the card stock and then popped up a cloud that I cut out with the sentiment stamped in GKD black onyx.  Miss Diva’s skirt is paper pieced with a pattern I made using the argyle stamp and diamond shape in the set.  The diamonds are stamped with GKD passionate pink.  Miss Diva’s shirt is all glittery, as is the flag (which was colored in with copics first).  I added the golf ball which was stamped on it’s silhouette cut file shape.  Added some sequins and it’s done!

I was excited for the release of this Diva but am having even more fun than I thought I would inking her up!

Thanks for stopping by!
